Water System Operator 

Water System Operator Position Information:
Location:  near Gresham,  Oregon, USA.
Start Date:  Immediate

The full-time Water System Operator will support the District’s General Manager (DRC) as the lead operator and field staff member for the District.  This position is ideal for the operator who wishes to have a diversity of water system operation and maintenance work, enjoys working independently, and can operate at high level of responsibility.   

Schedule:  40 hours per week, Monday through Friday. 
Compensation:  $35 to $45 per hour based on qualifications and experience

The ideal candidate will reside within 1-hour of Lusted Water District (45 miles). 
(The center of the District is approximately Sam Barlow High School near Gresham, Oregon.)

Minimum qualifications include a Level 1 Distribution System Operator certification and 3 years of water system operations experience

Lusted Water District is a small public water utility and an independent agency of local government in the State of Oregon, USA.  The District provides potable water to a population of approximately 1500 residents and 400 retail connections, including Barlow High School, in a rural-residential community at the edge of the Portland-metro area.  The District has a staff of 4, including a general manager, office manager, water system operator and an occasional/part-time assistant operator.  The District serves a 4-square mile area immediately east of the City of Gresham, Oregon.  The District does not maintain a public office location.
